Last chance for a
Beginning Beekeeping Class in 2023!

Honeybees are incredibly fascinating creatures! We truly have a passion for introducing new beekeepers to these amazing insects. While every beekeeper has their own way of doing things, we encourage you to learn from multiple sources, and develop your own style that suits your life and perspective. Our classes focus on chemical-free, natural beekeeping, as well as wintering. Classes are designed for any skill level- whether you're a Newbee or Sourdough, we're confident that you'll learn something new! We'll cover everything you need to know, from honeybee behavior and hive parts, to harvesting honey and wintering your bees.

More about our classes

Classes typically run about five hours, and are very informal. Questions are encouraged, and breaks taken as needed. We'll have examples of equipment- complete hives, tools, protective gear, package boxes, etc to provide hands on demos.

Classes are held in various locations on the Kenai Peninsula, as well as in Anchorage, Talkeetna, Fairbanks, and Palmer. We're happy to discuss custom class locations for your area or group!

Classes cost $30 per person, or $50 per couple.*

* Children are welcome at our classes, but they are expected to be supervised class participants. There will be no child care provided
